Ruth Diemer, MSW RSW – Fostering Emotional Well Being and Personal Growth

Ruth is a compassionate Registered Social Worker with over 30  years of experience working with individuals, couples and families  in a variety of environments and is dedicated to empowering  individuals and fostering resilience and emotional well-being. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of  Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the  Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). 

Evidenced Based Therapy

Ruth uses various evidenced-based therapeutic modalities  including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing,  Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Solution Focused  Therapy to support clients with various life transitions and  challenges. 

Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach Ruth supports  clients to achieve their goals and her areas of interest in practice are  anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, loss, life/work stress,  perinatal mental health, life  transitions, relational difficulties, family conflict, parenting, divorce as well as adjustment to illness and aging, .

Ruth is passionate about helping individuals, couples and families  overcome life struggles and stressors. She is dedicated to foster a  nonjudgemental and authentic environment allowing clients to  safely explore challenges they are experiencing and find a path  towards growth and resilience. With compassion and collaboration,  Ruth will support you with identifying your goals and strengths,  improve coping strategies, challenge and change negative thinking,  become more self-aware and move towards personal growth and  emotional well-being.
